L0veLess | If yu or someone yu know has dropped out of high school, what aspects were attributed to it? I know there can be a myriad of factors for leaving school, but there might be some commonalities between people's charts who have dropped out. Please share any ideas as to aspects that might be culpable!
------------------ I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.-Poe If the truth is relative then there's nothing that is really true. |
CrazyAquarian | The only thing I've come across with in my chart was Jupiter RX, which I've read can mean delayed higher education. |
RedScorp | I wanted to drop out 'cause it just dragged on and on and on...my Libra friend kept me going though, my devotion to her being my motivation. Dunno about aspects and stuff, though. |
Desiring Shadows | My friend has venus square uranus & moon square saturn in his progressed chart and I believe that may indicate dropping out. The depression and unstable attitude towards relationships/friends :P |
Chicanes | I have a Third House Saturn, and I once read a very good and very accurate description of it where it said something like "studies/education delayed and interrupted" and that's what happened to me. I didn't drop out of high school completely but I had a lot of problems at school, and ended up leaving several times, and instead attended a small school (with about 15 students) a few times a week and only did the required subjects. So, essentially, it would be the equivalent of dropping out. |

I also have saturn in the 3rd and it's pretty afflicted. I had problems in elementry school but that's it. I absolutely love learning (always have) and am now in grad school working on a PhD in organic chemistry. Having saturn in the 3rd and even having it afflicted is not going to automatically drive one to have troubles with education. The rest of my chart explains that education is a high priority of mine. As such, I bet there are other things going on for you .

L0veLess | Hmm jupiter was retro for a while though and my friends that have that didn't drop out. So possibly saturn, jupiter and uranus aspects point to difficulties with education? Maybe its more of a transit issue!? |
pandacake | I have: Saturn in 3rd house Jupiter Rx natally Chiron in Gemini in 9th house Mercury opposition JupiterIt wasn't easy for me to get my high school degree. External factors had quite a hold on me and being a daydreaming, slow learner with a weird sense of logic (Sun square Neptune?) didn't help either. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I love learning and I'm very determined. Right now, it's taking me blood, sweat and a kidney to get my engineering degree but I'm almost there! |
fairaqua | I left school at 17 because I was pregnant. I finished out my Jr year and had my baby in Aug and got my GED in Oct. My chrion is 10th house Gemini (but is flirting with the 9th house) My saturn is Sag in the 4th I am having trouble choosing what I want to do for the rest of my life. If Im going to put energy into something for the rest of my life its going to be something worth my time |
athenegoddess | I have saturn in the 3rd house i didn't drop out because school was far too easy to ever do that. |

i feel that same way. although i'm afraid of doing one thing forever because then i'd get tired of the monotony and knowing i didn't do anything GREAT. Or choosing to do the wrong thing and being stuck! I don't just want money i want to have some effect on things. |

whats yur jupiter in and is it retro?
|
athenegoddess | My jupiter is in taurus and no it's not retro. It's in 8th house. |
L0veLess | ah ok thanks |
TrueTaurus | I "almost" dropped out, but I did look for alternatives and chose homeschooling for my senior year, where you meet with your teacher once a week and do book work. It worked out for me eventually. Doing school work or making grades were no problem for me. I was a A/B student, but the problem was my social anxiety and depression. I didn't want to be around so many people everyday and also because I found everyone to be immature. Anyway, I have a 12th house stellium so I really really need alone time. Taurus/12th, Scorpio/6th, Cancer |
pisces moon | I dropped out of school in the ninth grade-that's when I officially did but I stopped going the year before, hence why I was still in 9th grade. I went on to get my GED and volunteered as a teacher at the school. Once I got out of elementary school and learned all I was going to learn that way, I just did not like structured learning. The cross road came when I got put in remedial classes for no other reason than I missed a lot of school. I went from the top classes to 'put the word house in a sentence and then add 2+2.' I decided then and there I was right-the system sucked and I quit. What aspects show this? Well, reading my Uranus stuff I'm going to say Uranus in the sixth house, trine the mid heaven and to an extent conjunct venus. I also have Uranus conjunct pluto and oppose the moon. |
Capriquarius | Another vouch for 3rd House Saturn - my sister has this & almost dropped out of high school because she's one of them "creative" types and could never seem to wrap her mind around science and math.

L0veLess | Taurus: what's your moon??? i'm sorry bout yur social anxieties Pisces: wow 9th gradE?! so yur attributing all this to uranus aspects. I guess it seems like a planet that would effect these things |

TrueTaurus | Yeah, it was really tough then, but I've gotten much better now. I still love my alone time and I'm not all that social, but I'm working on socializing. Sucks to live i a world where extroversion is praised and introversion is frowned upon. But, you could never know a person if they were home all the time. My moon's in Scorpio, in the 6th. I also have Uranus in the 6th, I don't know if that has anything to do with any of this but someone mentioned it in the above. |
4lifephrases | I could not point out anything to my chart but Saturn and Jupiter transits in my 5th house. I wonder 5th house has got anything to do with education. |

Yep. I did get my GED and attended college for a while-which I loved- but my son got sick and I had to leave-heavy sigh. I could have gone back but I never did. Maybe I'll try it again someday. Astrologically speaking, I think it's Uranus influence but I'm no expert. I don't credit astrology for any of the choices I've made in my life or any of the things that have happened-it's just a tool I use, along with many others, for better understanding of myself and others. |
